Silk Satin Wedding Dresses

When it comes to choosing the right silk for you, it’s always great to explore silk satin as an option. Silk Satin can often be associated with slip like dresses with little structure, whilst this fabric works beautifully for those style of dresses it can also be used to create a structured design with boning and full skirts. Silk Satin is such a special fabric with its light reflective qualities, it becomes the star of the show and needs little else to elevate your bridal look. Here are some of our favourite ways to use Silk Satin

Our luxury silk satin has a really lovely weight to it which makes it perfect for bias cut shapes. A bias cut flows naturally on the body following the lines of your natural shape, this silhouette is silk satins best friend. The fluid movement, draped shaping and effortless nature of a bias cut allows silk satin to catch the light in the most beautiful way. The heavy feel of the silk satin with additional lining is comfortable to wear and contours the body in a relaxed way.

Silk satin is so beautiful when used for a full a-line skirt, the more material there is, the more light it captures. The fabric really takes centre stage on an a-line style, it's best to let the fabric elevate the design and keep other details to a minimum. We love a full satin look for a timeless but striking bridal look!

Silk satin can be used in such clever ways and one of our favourite ways to work with this beautiful fabric is to mould it over a boned bodice. It creates a smooth, sleek shape that creates support and shapes the waist. Perfect for any bride who prefers a little support in their dress. Pair this with a full circle skirt, some flutter sleeves and you have a really special design.
