Dry Cleaning Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions are set out for the dry cleaning services provided.

These are reflective of the terms and conditions accepted by us which are set out by our external dry cleaning company.

1. All fabrics have been tested and care and designer instructions are followed by our dry cleaners.

2. All dresses are checked for any damage, loose trimmings, loose buttons or loose beads prior to hand over between Andrea Hawkes and our dry cleaners. Any repairs must be undertaken before it goes through the dry cleaning process. These repairs will be communicated to you prior to any work or cleaning being carried out. Sometimes but rarely, small repairs can be necessary after cleaning, these are not the responsibility of the dry cleaner and will be communicated to you on return of your dress.

3. All areas of the cleaning process are checked at each stage. Your dress will be cleaned as much is considered required, without damaging any fibres. Quality checks are made throughout, however some elements such as minor shrinkage can occur during the cleaning process. Minor shrinkage is accepted as a potential risk of dry-cleaning silk fabrics as is not the responsibility of the designer or cleaner. Some stains/staining may not be able to be removed, this is at the discretion of the professional cleaners and their experience with our fabrics, you accept that your dress may be returned with such stains/staining where removal is not possible.

4. All dresses are insured to their full purchase value under the terms and conditions accepted by Andrea Hawkes which are set out by our external dry cleaning company.

5. The time period that the dress will be in our possession after hand over will be confirmed on confirmation of and payment for our dry-cleaning services. We are only able to store your dress one week from confirmation of the return of your dress to our premises due to insurance requirements. Dresses not collected after this time period will be courier delivered to the client's address and all relating costs are chargeable.

6. Dresses are required to be dropped and collected from our studio at 47 Barnsbury Street N1 1TP. Other Drop off and Collection arrangements should be mentioned prior to confirmation of services and require prior acceptance by Andrea Hawkes.
