The Spring months are such a special time, nature comes back to life, florals begin to bloom and there is a great energy in the air. Everything feels so fresh and new. It’s no wonder that so many brides choose to marry in the Spring time! Whether you are getting married this Spring or are looking ahead to Spring 2022 here is some inspiration for styling our dresses and colour palette ideas. Enjoy!

Look 1: Minimal, Modern & Fresh

Soft whites, fresh greens and neutral tones are always wonderfully uplifting and inviting. Our sheer silk designs are perfect for the Spring months, with a delicate layering over the skin these dresses feel modern, light and effortless. Our Pearl Dress from Elements Collection has soft bloused chiffon sleeves which is perfect for Spring weather. Light enough for the warmer days but covered enough for cooler evenings. Another beautiful choice would be our Clarice Dress, a two piece option that can transform throughout the day. To keep this styling light and fresh use sheer accessories to elevate your outfit like our Abby Veil, this creates an ethereal feel and keeps your whole look contemporary. When going for a minimal feel it is important to think about textural interest to stop things falling flat. We love the addition these suede Anna Shoes by Emmy London, a lovely fabric contrast to the sheer elements. The addition of some metallic details like these beautiful Sable Earring by Maison Sabben and a Leather Clutch by Stolbjerg Copenhagen will lift your outfit creating juxtaposition between the feminine silks and tougher materials. For florals, keep thing simple with whites and greens, an organically flowing bouquet like this would work perfectly!

Look 2: Botanical, Floral & Organic

It wouldn’t be Spring without a homage to florals! At AH we love working with floral fabrics, especially those that are inspired by botanical elements. We love our floral lace to mirror nature in the most organic and natural way. Whether that be through delicate trailing vines or scattered floral/petal detailing. Our Laura Lace Top is the most beautiful example of this with its bold floral design and naturally flowing flowers, the perfect addition to any of our simple silk dresses such as Abby or Drew. Our Eden Cape was designed with nature in mind, this lace was chosen for its blossom like pattern which we knew would fall so beautifully as a cape. Spring Florals are filled with pastel tones which compliment our off white silks wonderfully. Add some dusky pink shoes like these fab Rain Sandals by Dear Frances and bring in delicate accessories like these silk chiffon hair pins by Jennifer Behr. We love the addition of irregular pearl earrings to keep the whole look fluid and soft, these Oui Earrings by Maison Sabben are stunning. For your florals head on over to Liberty Lane, they have to most gorgeous inspiration for natural and dynamic bouquets/tablescapes.

Look 3: Bold, Bright & Colourful

We absolutely love it when our brides go bold with their colour palette, whether that be through their florals, make-up or accessories. Our clean cut, classic designs create such a lovely contrast to bright and bold tones. Our Coral dress and Elizabeth dress are both timeless designs with a simple and elegant feel, they really allow you to get creative with styling and colours. From the yellow and peach tones in this bouquet through to lilacs and pinks you simply couldn’t go wrong when paired with our off white silks. So many of our brides opt for a coloured shoe, we love the soft mustard shade of these Aeyde designs but you can choose any colour you love! Another way to experiment with colour is through your make-up, a brighter lip can have such a great impact against your dress. Pamela and Andrea from P&A make-up are absolutely pro’s at a bold lip and will be able to help find the perfect tone for you.
