Your wedding date may have changed season due to rescheduling or postponement, but fear not! Whether you have moved from Summer to Winter or visa versa we have some wonderful styling additions here at AH to help adapt and transform your dress so that it feels more suitable for your new wedding date.

For our summer brides who now find themselves with a winter wedding and would like to have a little more coverage we have a beautiful selection of cover up’s that work with all of our designs. From lace tops and jackets to capes and beaded tops we have so many options to suit every style. Depending on the stage of your dress we may also be able to adapt your design should you wish to add sleeves or use a heavier silk. A little more coverage on the arms or back will help you to feel warmer and more comfortable on your wedding day.

“Our collections have always given brides the option to create their very own look. Whether your wedding is summer or winter our pieces are easily adaptable with styles to cover a strappy style dress with a textured silk or lace top. We offer multiple styles of tops with low V necks to classic boat necklines and full length overdresses for a more wintery feel. Perfectly covering a sleeveless dress. Sleeves on a dress are also a really simple way to add coverage whether that be in a matching silk or a semi translucent fabric such as our beautiful silk chiffon. Tops, capes, overdresses, collars or sleeves. All such beautiful options to create a unique way to make your summer style more suitable for winter” – Andrea, Designer

Eden cape is made from the prettiest floral lace that has an almost confetti like element to it. This style works beautifully over our v-neck wedding dresses adding coverage and detail. It can be simply removed to change up your look throughout the day. It also has lots of playful movement which flows perfectly with our silks.

A firm favourite with our brides, our Laura top is made from a very organic, botanical patterned lace that flows effortlessly over the skin. A layer that would add warmth and detail to any of our sleeveless wedding dress designs. With a closed in button up back this is the perfect option for any brides needing a little more coverage in that area.

Made from silk chiffon our Clara bridal cape is a dream to wear! Anyone who tries this on always mentions how wonderfully soft it feels against the skin. We love the sheer aspect of Clara which adds coverage but lets your dress shine through.

The newest addition to our styling pieces is our Dew top. This was specifically designed with our brides needs in mind. We created this organza top to be worn with multiple wedding dresses from our collection as we had many requests for translucent cover up options. The wrap around style adds some subtle detail and can be tied at the front or back.

“It’s been really exciting helping our brides who have changed season to adapt and transform their dress. Our lace tops and capes add a beautiful amount of detail whilst also having the added benefit of more coverage which a lot of our brides are now needing for a cooler time of year. For a more simple and sheer coverage our silk chiffon and organza pieces have been the perfect choice, I just love how they add a delicate veiling over the skin whilst keeping the focal point on the dress itself” – Siobhan, Bridal Stylist

For our winter brides who have moved to a summer date we can help to adapt some elements of your dress if you find yourself feeling too covered. Depending on the fitting stage of your dress we may be able to shorten or remove sleeves, make in a lighter silk or add a split to your skirt. If you feel your dress needs lightening up for a summer wedding our team can suggest some design adaptions should you feel it the right option.

“For any of our winter brides who have concerns about their dress being a little too covered or warm for their new summer wedding date I always remind them that our dresses are made from 100% beautiful natural fibres that are breathable and comfortable all year round. Sleeves are not just for winter!” – Siobhan, Bridal Stylist

If you would like to discuss your dress or ask our advice on adapting your design for a change in season you can book an appointment or video call with one of our stylists who will be able to suggest some wonderful options for your dress. We are also very excited to say that all of our styling pieces are now available to purchase on our online shop.
