Phoebe and Ross married at the stunning Sennowe Park in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Their entire day was filled with elegant, timeless and classic touches that embraced modern simplicity.

The Dress

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Phoebe to create her dream dress and Veil. Phoebe first came to us back in December 2020 and was very open and honest with us about her dress journey.

“I found choosing a wedding dress the hardest part of the planning process. I wanted something timeless and elegant but was battling with a voice in my head stating I should go for something bigger to suit the venue.”

A feeling that many brides go through, we completely understood how Phoebe felt. It is so important that we help our brides find a dress that feels effortless and entirely themselves. You will feel the most confident version of yourself when wearing a dress that just feels right for you. Phoebe felt this as soon as we tried our Fleur dress, there was an instant connection and ease. Phoebe looked incredible in this bias cut shape and flowing matte silk. The simplicity, quality and elegance of this piece just felt perfect for Phoebe’s special day.

 

“In the end, you have to choose something that you feel comfortable in and that’s you, and that’s exactly how I felt when trying the Fleur dress on.”

Hand made silk buttons add an understated detail to our Fleur design. Phoebe opted for our Standard Size service and alterations carried out at our London Showroom with our experienced fitters and dressmakers.

The Veil

A few months later, just before we started fittings with Phoebe for her beautiful Fleur dress, we met once more for a lovely accessories appointment to find the finishing touch. The modern simplicity of Phoebe’s dress meant we could play around with more detail in the veil. We tried lace edge options and simple styles but finally landed on our Blossom veil. Blossom veil has an organic, natural feel to it with scattered flowers hand sewn throughout. It worked beautifully with Phoebe’s Eden b. Studio flower pins.

The Ceremony

Phoebe and Ross married at Norwich Cathedral, a very special place that holds lots of memories for Phoebe. Phoebe went to Norwich School and had every assembly at Norwich Cathedral, a setting that evoked lots of lovely childhood memories and familiarity.

 

The Vows

The Flowers

Phoebe’s bouquet by Niche Flowers is one of the most beautiful and unique arrangements we’ve seen. It was important for Phoebe to include Proteas as a nod to her South African heritage.

 

The Bridesmaids

Phoebe’s gorgeous bridesmaids wore blush pink gowns from our lovely industry friends Maids to Measure. We love how they complimented Phoebe’s dress in such an elegant way.

 

The Reception

Set in a beautifully decorated marquee in the grounds of Sennowe Park, Phoebe, Ross and their guests enjoyed a very special reception included home made sloe gin and a stunning gluten free cake by Buns of Fun

“My experience with Andrea Hawkes was one of the highlights of the wedding process. The experience with the team was faultless and the team were so friendly and patient, even allowing me to revisit once I had chosen the dress to show my mother and choose the veil I wanted to go with the ‘Fleur’ dress.

They were also great with advising what underwear and shoes to wear, always replying promptly over email when I’m sure they were drowning in requests and appointments post-lockdown restrictions lifting.”
